Yoga Basics with Janet Lam will meet today from 8—9 a.m. Start your week feeling balanced, flexible and strong. This class includes fundamental yoga poses, and although not specifically a beginner’s class, the movement sequence can easily accommodate students new to yoga or returning to a yoga practice.
Tutu’s Quilters meets every Monday, except Dec. 25, from 9:30 a.m.—noon, with Kathy Lukens. This get-together is for experienced as well as curious beginners to learn and practice quilting Hawaiian style. Initial supplies are provided or participants can bring something they are working on.
Advanced Ukulele meets every Tuesday from 9:30—11 a.m. with Aunty Marjie Spencer, and welcomes experienced players of all ages to bring their ukulele and join in a morning of friendship and song.

Interested persons are invited to join everything from new writers to published authors to discuss many genres: fiction, non-fiction, essays and poetry. Participants are invited to share something they are currently working on with this interesting group in an encouraging place to explore their writing voice.
Knitting &Knitting Support is every Tuesday from 12:30—3 p.m. with Gretchen Geisler, a lifetime knitter. This class is for all skill levels ages 10 to adult. Bring projects, get knitting questions answered and visit with other knitters. Beginners will be guided into a suitable project.
Overeaters Anonymous is held from noon-1 p.m. every Friday. OA is a fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength and hope, are recovering from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors. OA welcomes anyone who wishes to stop eating compulsively.
Scrabble Meetup gathers from 1:30-4 p.m. every Friday with Annabel Spielman. Word lovers of every age and skill level are encouraged to play this classic game with relaxed rules. Dictionary use is permitted. It’s a great way to retain and expand vocabulary, spelling, memory and observation skills in a congenial atmosphere.
Powerful Tools for Caregivers (PTC) is a series of six two-hour, once-a-week classes led by a pair of certified community volunteers. It is designed to help family caregivers cope with the demands of caring for their loved ones. The series will begin Jan. 8, and continue Jan. 15, 22, 29, and Feb. 5 and 12. Held from 10 a.m.—noon, this program helps caregivers reduce stress, change negative self-talk and increase self-confidence; communicate feelings better; increase their ability to make tough decisions; learn about resources; and balance their lives. Participants also receive a copy of “The Caregiver Helpbook,” developed specifically for this program. Attendance is required at all six classes. Space is limited.
